Rozz Daniels returns to the Philippines, rekindles singing career and sets goals

Filipino-American singer Rozz Daniels is back in the Philippines for the holidays, marking a new chapter in her career as she sets her sights on reigniting her passion for music and expanding her entrepreneurial ventures.

Rozz, who previously made headlines for filing a case against former singer Ivy Violan over an unfulfilled promise to help launch her debut album in the Philippines, has decided to leave the matter behind. During a Christmas party with the press at Music Box, Rozz revealed she has chosen to “forgive and forget” after the U.S. court ruled against her due to jurisdiction issues.

“I don’t want the stress anymore, so I didn’t appeal. Lesson learned—next time, I’ll be more careful,” Rozz shared, emphasizing her focus on moving forward.

Despite her achievements abroad—earning two college degrees and building a successful career—Rozz said her heart has always belonged to singing.

“Simula maliit pa ako, ‘yun na ang dream ko,” Rozz told reporters. “Kahit na nakapag-aral ako sa America, nakapagtapos ako ng dalawang college degree doon, maganda ang trabaho ko, binabalikan ko ang pagkanta. Iba pa rin talaga kapag passion.”

This passion has driven her to pursue a revival of a Renz Verano song, a project she believes suits her unique husky voice. She also dreams of collaborating with the Concert King, Martin Nievera.

Rozz is determined to make 2025 a breakthrough year for her career. One of her main goals is to stage a full-scale concert, which she envisions as more than just a simple show. She plans to perform alongside fellow artists Jerome Sang and Neli Legaspi while promoting her upcoming single.

“Sana magkaroon ako ng concert, hindi lang simpleng show. Siyempre kasama ko sila Jerome and Neli. Tapos ma-promote ko rin yung bagong single ko,” Rozz said.

Aside from her music endeavors, Rozz is also eyeing the establishment of three to four new businesses as part of her long-term plans.

Rozz recently headlined a Christmas show with Jerome Sang and Neli Legaspi and shared her excitement about spending the holidays in the Philippines. As she embarks on her renewed journey in the local music scene, Rozz is ready to turn her lifelong dream into reality.
